Eco-Warriors - Recycling

ECO WARRIORS

Some of our Eco Warriors have been busy trying to spread the message about re-cycling and the use of plastic wrapping.

Look at the letter written by Faaria and the excellent poster made by Emily.

Today we have had a very interesting discussion about batteries. About 20.000 tonnes of batteries go to landfill every year. This is as heavy as about 4,000 elephants! As a school we are going to re-cycle used batteries and we have set the children a challenge to fill boxes with

AAA, AA, C and D batteries ONLY.

The eco-warriors will tally up how many batteries we can re-cycle.

Please encourage your children to bring used batteries (dry, not leaking) into school. Thank you.
