Year 6 Residential Trip To Osmington Bay
On Monday 23rd September 2019 our Year 6 children will be going to Osmington Bay activity centre in Dorset for the week on their residential trip. They are really excited and looking forward to the trip. We will keep posting pictures of their fun activities here.
The children arrived safely at the activity centre around midday.
We’ve enjoyed our first activity of Dragon boating despite the challenging weather conditions. All children have eaten a hearty dinner and are going to the evening activity - camp fire ( indoor).

The day started with a thunder storm but the gales soon blew away the black clouds and torrential rain for a few hours- we even had some very welcome sunshine which meant we remained dry for Trapeze, Jacob’s Ladder, Blind Trail and Raft Building. The children are now split into four groups. Some groups also enjoyed Fencing and Street Surfing. A great time was had by all and everyone is now preparing for quiz night while snacking on treats from the shop!

Another fun filled day which was rain free! The sun even put in a brief appearance this afternoon which suited those doing raft building! Other activities today included a coastal walk, orienteering, abseiling, fencing, sensory trail and Jacob’s ladder. Children are enthusiastic in all they do and really pushing themselves to achieve in all activities while having a great time.

Our last extremely windy but dry day was enjoyed by all- especially the giant swing which proved to be the highlight of the day! Everyone is now busy getting ready for the disco and attempting to fit the rest of their clothes back into their suitcases...... this might prove to be the biggest challenge of the week! See you all tomorrow.
